The Author

Justin is currently working as a Teaching Assistant at the acclaimed MATCH Charter Public High School in Boston, MA.  He serves as a full-time tutor for students across three grade levels and the Director of Musical Activities. He also has experience teaching middle and elementary school students through intensive summers with Breakthrough Collaborative (Atlanta and Cambridge) and Writers in the Schools (Houston).  He has lived and studied in London.

Life. Love. Liberty.

He is a recent graduate of the elite Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. A product of Beaumont, Texas, he is a scholar, poet, writer, singer, artist, and actor.  While in college, he served in historic and renowned Morehouse College Glee Club and was affliated with several literary publications and administrative fundraising ventures.

His literary interests lie in comparative Shakespeare studies and he is currently working on a novel-length adaptation of Othello.  With graduate school in site, he plans to create his own foundation for urban college preparation in the near future.

In the Fall of 2012, he will be entering the selective MA programme in Comparative Literature at University College London.

  1. I haven’t told u why I think u are so amazing, because I can’t quite yet form the words. Just know that Whitney Benson thinks Justin Shaw is an amazing person, student, and more importantly amazing God-fearing man.

I left a comment on your thread about Drake’s ‘Hyfr’, but I think the powers that be deemed it too controversial…LOL!
